Pair Software

Rapid MVP design and development for a start up SaaS company

We led a four-week sprint to design, build, and launch the first version of Pair Software’s event and staffing platform.

Challenge

Pair Software, an early-stage startup, identified a gap in the market for a fully integrated event and staffing management platform. Existing solutions were fragmented, often failing to deliver a cohesive user experience or flexible pricing models that matched the dynamic needs of modern event-based businesses. With strong early interest from several potential clients, Pair's goal was to rapidly validate their concept, deliver a usable product to market, and gather insights from real users to inform ongoing development.

Approach

We led a focused four-week design and development sprint to bring the first version of Pair’s platform to life. The goal was to move from idea to live deployment with minimal overhead while retaining a strong foundation for future growth.

Our approach combined behavioural science, agile product design, and strategic use of AI and low-code development tools to compress timelines without compromising on product quality or user experience.

Key steps included:

  • Behavioural framing and objective definition: We worked with Pair to define core user behaviours, job-to-be-done profiles, and business objectives, ensuring early alignment between user needs and product features.
  • Workflow mapping and feature prioritisation: We identified the highest-value user journeys—such as shift scheduling, event setup, and communication workflows—and mapped them into the first version of the product.
  • Visual and technical architecture: We rapidly produced UX/UI prototypes and aligned these with a scalable technical design that supported modular development and future integrations.
  • Development and deployment: Leveraging low-code infrastructure and reusable components, we delivered a fully functional prototype within weeks. AI was embedded to streamline internal tasks such as shift-matching logic and communication automation.
  • Ongoing iteration: Once live, we implemented a lightweight feedback loop to gather insights from early adopters and used this data to guide weekly iterations on UX and feature set.

Results

In just four weeks, we moved from concept to live deployment with paying customers. This rapid delivery enabled real-world feedback from end users, allowing us to validate core hypotheses and refine product direction based on behavioural signals and practical usage patterns.

The outcome was not just a functional MVP, but a testable, extensible platform that allowed Pair to confidently engage with customers, iterate based on insight, and begin laying the groundwork for future investment and scaling.
